Hadith 8:2591
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Ata, regarding a man who drove his sacrificial animal (badana), and it collapsed on the road, and he was unable to carry it. He said: He may do with it whatever he wishes, and when he enters Makkah, he shall slaughter a ram in its place.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن نمير عن عبد الملك عن عطاء في رجل ساق بدنته فوضعت في الطريق فلم يستطع أن يحمله قال يصنع به ما شاء فإذا دخل مكة ذبح مكانه كبشا
