Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 8:2594

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-A’la, who said: A companion of ours performed ifadah (the circumambulation of the Ka'bah during Hajj) before the Imam. So I asked Mujahid, and he said: He must shed blood (i.e., offer a sacrifice).
