Hadith 8:2652
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, who said: Retribution (al-jaza’) was only established for intentional [killing], but it was made severe for them in cases of error so that they might be cautious.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن الأعمش عن عمرو بن مرة عن سعيد بن جبير قال إنما جعل الجزاء في العمد ولكن غلظ عليهم في الخطأ كي يتقوا
