Hadith 8:2699
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Fitr, from Abu al-Tufayl, who said: I said to Ibn ‘Abbas: "The people used to throw [stones] in the Pre-Islamic era and in Islam." He said: "Whatever is accepted from him is raised [to Allah], and if it were not for that, it would have been greater than [Mount] Thabir."
