Hadith 8:2702
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Sha'bi, from Abdullah, who said: "If he drives an obligatory sacrificial animal (hady) and it perishes, he may eat from it and feed others, and he is liable for its replacement."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو معاوية عن أشعث عن الشعبي عن عبد الله قال إذا ساق هديا واجبا فعطب أكل وأطعم وعليه البدل
