Hadith 8:2747
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hatim narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) rode until he reached the station (al-Mawqif). He placed the belly of his she-camel, al-Qaswa, towards the rocks, and he placed the mountain of the pedestrians in front of him, and he faced the Qibla. He did not cease standing until the sun set.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا حاتم عن جعفر عن أبيه عن جابر أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ركب حتى أتى الموقف فجعل بطن ناقته القصوى إلى الصخرات وجعل جبل المشاة بين يديه واستقبل القبلة فلم يزل واقفا حتى غربت الشمس
