Hadith 8:278
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from ‘Uqbah, from Ibrahim, who said: I asked about the *darurah* (the woman in a state of necessity/distress), how much of her hair she should shorten. He said: This was asked, and he placed his thumb on the second joint.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا وكيع عن عقبة عن إبراهيم قال سألت عن الضرورة كم تقصر من شعرها قال سئل هذا ووضع إبهامه على المفصل الثاني
