Hadith 8:281
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Jabir, from ‘Amir, he said: I asked him: Is shaving (the head) better for women, or shortening (the hair)? He said: Rather, shortening. The wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, shortened (their hair).
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا وكيع قال ثنا سفيان عن جابر عن عامر قال سألته الحلق للنساء أفضل أو التقصير قال بل التقصير قصر أزواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
