Hadith 8:2834
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from al-Salt ibn Asad, he said: I asked Tawus about a man who performed Tamattu’ (hajj) but did not fast and did not slaughter (the sacrificial animal) until the days (of Tashriq) had passed. He said: He should slaughter. I said: He does not find (the means). He said: He should sell his garment. I said: He does not find (the means). He said: He should borrow from his companions. I said: They will not give him. He said: You are lying.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا يحيى بن آدم قال نا حماد بن زيد عن الصلت بن أسد قال سألت طاوسا عن رجل تمتع فلم يصم ولم يذبح حتى مضت الأيام قال فقال يذبح قلت لا يجد قال يبيع ثوبه قلت لا يجد قال فليستسلف من أصحابه قلت لا يعطونه قال كذبت
