Hadith 8:2863
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, from Sa’id ibn Hassan, from Ibn ‘Umar, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to descend at Wadi ‘Arana. When Al-Hajjaj fought Ibn al-Zubayr, he sent to me at the hour when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to depart on this day, and he said: "When that time comes, we shall depart." Al-Hajjaj sent a man and said: "When he departs, inform me." Ibn ‘Umar wanted to depart, but they said: "The sun has not yet declined," so he sat down. Then he wanted to depart, and they said: "The sun has not yet declined," so he sat down. When they said: "It has declined," he departed.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن نافع عن بن عمر عن سعيد بن حسان عن بن عمر أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان ينزل وادي عرنة فلما قاتل الحجاج بن الزبير أرسل إلي ساعة كان يروح رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذا اليوم فقال إذا كان ذلك رحنا فأرسل الحجاج رجلا فقال إذا راح فأعلمني فأراد بن عمر أن يروح فقالوا لم تزغ الشمس فجلس ثم أراد أن يروح فقالوا لم تزغ الشمس فجلس فلما قالوا قد ضاغت راح
