Hadith 8:2950
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim or Mujahid, he said: The *qani’* (contented one) is the one who is content with what is sent to him. The *mu’tarr* (the one who presents himself) is the one who exposes himself to you and asks you.
