Hadith 8:2953
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, who said: The *qani’* (contented one) is the one who is content with what you give him. The *mu’tarr* (the one who presents himself) is the one who encounters you, shows himself to you, but does not ask you.
