Hadith 8:2956
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Hasan, that he was asked about a man who shoots game while he is in the Sacred Precinct (al-Haram), and it exits the Sacred Precinct and dies. He said: He is liable. And if he shoots it in the non-sacred territory (al-Hill), then it enters the Sacred Precinct and dies, he said: He is not liable.
