Hadith 8:2979
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Salam narrated to us, from Mukharriq, from Tariq, who said: We went out as pilgrims until, when we were on some part of the road, a man among us stepped on a dabb (lizard) and killed it while he was in the state of ihram. He came to Umar ibn al-Khattab to have him judge regarding it. Umar said to him: "Judge with me." So they both judged regarding it a young goat that had begun to eat grass and drink water. Then Umar said: "A just person among you shall judge it."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا سلام عن مخارق عن طارق قال خرجنا حجاجا حتى إذا كنا ببعض الطريق أوطأ رجل منا ضبا فقتله وهو محرم فأتى عمر بن الخطاب ليحكم عليه فقال له عمر احكم معي فحكما فيه جديا قد جمع الماء والشجر ثم قال عمر @QB@ يحكم به ذوا عدل منكم @QE@
