Hadith 8:2991
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il, from Jabir, from Muhammad ibn ‘Ali, from ‘Ata’, Muhammad, Mujahid, and Tawus, that they said regarding grasshoppers, sandgrouse, locusts, and ants: They said, "If he kills it intentionally, he feeds something, and if it was by mistake, there is nothing upon him." And ‘Amir and ‘Abdullah ibn al-Aswad said: "He feeds something, whether it was by mistake or intentionally."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن إسماعيل عن جابر عن محمد بن علي عن عطاء ومحمد ومجاهد وطاوس أنهم قالوا في الجنادب والقطا والجراد والذر قالوا إن قتله عمدا أطعم شيئا وإن كان خطأ فليس عليه شيء وقال عامر وعبد الله بن الأسود يطعم شيئا خطأ كان أو عمدا
