Hadith 8:3056
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, who said: There is no ‘Umrah upon the people of Makkah. Ibn ‘Abbas said: You, O people of Makkah, have no ‘Umrah; your ‘Umrah is merely the circumambulation (Tawaf) with a ritual bath (Ghusl). So whoever places between himself and the Sacred Precinct (Haram) the bottom of the valley, he shall not enter Makkah except in a state of Ihram. I said to ‘Ata’: Does Ibn ‘Abbas mean the valley that is from the Hill (the area outside the Haram)? He said: The bottom of the valley is from the Hill.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن إدريس عن بن جريج عن عطاء قال ليس على أهل مكة عمرة قال بن عباس أنتم يا أهل مكة لا عمرة لكم إنما عمرتكم الطواف بغسل فمن جعل بينه وبين الحرم بطن الوادي فلا يدخل مكة إلا بإحرام فقال فقلت لعطاء يريد بن عباس الوادي من الحل قال بطن الوادي من الحل
