Hadith 8:3215
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: I asked Sufyan about a man who forgot to perform the obligatory *tawaf* (circumambulation), so he performed the *tawaf al-sadr* (farewell circumambulation) and then departed. Sufyan said: The *tawaf al-sadr* is the obligatory one, and it counts as the *tawaf al-sadr*. Al-Hasan ibn Salih said: It does not suffice him, as if he had not performed *tawaf*. And regarding the *qarin* (one performing Hajj and Umrah together), he arrived and performed *tawaf* for Hajj, and it is for the Umrah, and he is obligated to perform the *tawaf* of Hajj. Al-Hasan ibn Salih said: It does not suffice him.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع قال سألت سفيان عن رجل نسي أن يطوف الطواف الواجب فطاف طواف الصدر ثم نفر فقال سفيان طواف الصدر هو الواجب وعليه هو الطواف الصدر وقال الحسن بن صالح لا يجزئه كأنه لم يطف وفي القارن قدم فطاف للحج هو للعمرة وعليه طواف الحج وقال الحسن بن صالح لا يجزئه
