Hadith 8:3249
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Mahdi, he said: Shu'ayb ibn al-Habhab narrated to me, he said: I heard al-Sha'bi saying: "Allah only ordained these rites so that the sins of the children of Adam might be expiated by them."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو أسامة عن مهدي قال حدثني شعيب بن الحبحاب قال سمعت الشعبي يقول إنما جعل الله هذه المناسك ليكفر بها خطايا بني آدم
