Hadith 8:330
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn Musa, from Nabih ibn Wahb, that ‘Umar ibn ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Ma‘mar wanted to marry while he was in the state of ihram. So he sent to Aban ibn ‘Uthman to ask him. Aban said: ‘Uthman narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "The one in the state of ihram does not marry, nor does he propose."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا بن عيينة عن أيوب بن موسى عن نبيه بن وهب ان عمر بن عبيد الله بن معمر أراد أن ينكح وهو محرم فأرسل إلى أبان بن عثمان يسأله فقال أبان إن عثمان حدث أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال المحرم لا ينكح ولا يخطب
