Hadith 8:343
Abu Bakr (Idris) narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, he said: The one performing Tamattu’ may fast, if he wishes, a day in Shawwal, and if he wishes, a day in Dhu al-Qa’dah. He said: And Tawus and ‘Ata’ said: The one performing Tamattu’ shall not fast except during the ten (days of Dhu al-Hijjah).
حدثنا أبو بكر ( ( ( إدريس ) ) ) قال ثنا بن عيينة عن بن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد قال يصوم المتمتع إن شاء يوما من شوال وإن شاء يوما من ذي القعدة قال وقال طاوس وعطاء لا يصوم المتمتع إلا في العشر
