Hadith 8:372

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym narrated to us, from Mughira, who said: I asked Ibrahim, and I said: "Are those who perform Umrah in Rajab and then stay until they perform Hajj considered Mutamatti'un (those performing Tamattu)?" He said: "No. The Mutamatti is only the one who enters into the state of Ihram for Umrah during the months of Hajj, then stays until he performs Hajj; that is the Mutamatti, and upon him is the sacrificial animal (Hadi), or fasting if he does not find the sacrificial animal."

حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا هشيم عن مغيرة قال سألت إبراهيم قال قلت الذين يعتمرون في رجب ثم يقيمون حتى يحجوا متمتعون هم قال لا إنما المتمتع من أهل بالعمرة في أشهر الحج ثم أقام حتى يحج فذلك متمتع وعليه الهدي أو الصوم إن لم يجد الهدي
