Hadith 8:441
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Umarah ibn 'Umayr, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, who said: We went out with 'Ammar until, when we were at Dhat al-Suquf, a companion of ours was stung. We intercepted the path to ask for something to treat it with, and behold, Ibn Mas'ud was in a caravan. We said: "A companion of ours has been stung." He said: "Place between yourselves and your companion a day of 'Amarah (a specific location), and let him send the sacrificial animal. When the sacrificial animal is slaughtered, let him exit [the state of Ihram], and he owes an 'Umrah."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عمارة بن عمير عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد قال خرجنا عمارا حتى إذا كنا بذات السقوف لدغ صاحب لنا فاعترضنا الطريق لنسأل ما يصغي به فإذا بن مسعود في ركب فقلنا لدغ صاحب لنا فقال اجعلوا بينكم وبين صاحبكم يوم أمارة ويرسل بالهدي فإذا نحر الهدي فليحل وعليه العمرة
