Hadith 8:548
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Wahb ibn Isma'il al-Asadi narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn 'Ubayd al-Ta'i, from al-Sha'bi, who said: A man from Harrah came and said: "I have prepared myself for departure, and I have needy neighbors who are abstinent (from asking). So what do you see regarding me putting my travel fare and my provisions toward them, or should I proceed to my destination for Hajj?" He said: "By Allah, the reward of charity is great, but nothing among things is equal in my estimation to a standing (mawqif) at the stations (of Hajj)."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا وهب بن إسماعيل الأسدي عن سعيد بن عبيد الطائي عن الشعبي قال جاء أمضى حرانة فقال إني قد تهيأت للخروج ولي جيران محتاجون متعففون فما ترى إلى جعل كراي وجهازي فيهم أو أمضي لوجهي للحج فقال والله إن الصدقة يعظم أجرها وما تعدل عندي موقف من المواقف شيء من الأشياء
