Hadith 8:568
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Layth, from Ata, Tawus, and Mujahid: They said: "Perform *ish'ar* (marking) of the sacrificial animal if you wish, and if you wish, do not perform *ish'ar*."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن ليث عن عطاء وطاوس ومجاهد قالوا أشعر الهدي إن شئت وإن شئت فلا تشعر
