Hadith 8:589
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding [the verse]: "And there is no disputing during Hajj." He said: Hajj has become [fixed] in Dhu al-Hijjah, so no month is postponed, and there is no doubt regarding Hajj. This is because the people of the Jahiliyyah used to omit [the sanctity of] Muharram, so they would perform Hajj in a month other than Dhu al-Hijjah.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا بن عيينة عن بن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد @QB@ ولا جدال في الحج @QE@ قال قد صار الحج في ذي الحجة فلا شهر ينسىء ولا شك في الحج لأن أهل الجاهلية كانوا يسقطون المحرم فيحجون في غير ذي الحجة
