Hadith 8:667
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Isma'il, he said: When al-Sha'bi was asked about the neighbors (al-jiwar), he would bring the letter of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to Khuza'ah: "I have taken those of you who migrated under my protection just as I have taken for myself, even if there were no one in his land except a resident of Mecca who is a pilgrim or a performer of Umrah."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن إسماعيل قال كان الشعبي إذا سئل عن الجوار جاء بكتاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى خزاعة إني قد أخذت بمن هاجر منكم كما أخذت لنفسي ولو كان بأرضه ساكن مكة إلا حاجا أو معتمرا
