Hadith 8:730
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from ‘Umar ibn Dharr, from Mujahid, who said: They used not to trade until [the verse] was revealed: "There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord." He said: They used not to buy or sell during the days of Mina, so Allah the Exalted revealed: "There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord." Trade during the seasons was made permissible for them. They used not to trade during the Jahiliyyah at ‘Arafat nor at Mina.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن عمر بن ذر عن مجاهد قال كانوا لا يتجرون حتى نزلت @QB@ ليس عليكم جناح أن تبتغوا فضلا من ربكم @QE@ قال كانوا لا يبيعون ولا يشترون في أيام منى فأنزل الله تعالى @QB@ ليس عليكم جناح أن تبتغوا فضلا من ربكم @QE@ التجارة في مواسم أحلت لهم كانوا لا يتبايعون في الجاهلية بعرفة ولا منى
