Hadith 8:748
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki' narrated to us, from Hawshab ibn 'Aqil, he said: Mahdi al-'Abdi narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah, he said: I entered upon Abu Hurayrah in his house and asked him about fasting the day of 'Arafah at 'Arafat. Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade fasting the day of 'Arafah at 'Arafat.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن حوشب بن عقيل قال حدثني مهدي العبدي عن عكرمة قال دخلت إلى أبي هريرة في بيته فسألته عن صوم يوم عرفه بعرفات فقال أبو هريرة نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن صوم يوم عرفه بعرفات
