Hadith 8:803
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abbad bin al-Awwam narrated to us, from Umar bin Amir, from Qatadah, from Ibn Umar that he said: "I do not care if I threw the Jamarat with six or seven." And Ibn Abbas said: "We threw [them] in the Jahiliyyah with seven, and in Islam with seven."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن عمر بن عامر عن قتادة عن بن عمر أنه قال ما أبالي رميت الجمار بست أو بسبع وقال بن عباس رمينا في الجاهلية بسبع وفي الإسلام بسبع
