Hadith 8:82
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Ja’far ibn Muhammad, from his father: That Umar, Ali, and Ibn Abbas used to say regarding a man who sends his sacrificial animal (badana): He refrains from what the pilgrim (muhrim) refrains from, nothing else, and he recites the talbiyah. Ja’far said: He appoints a day for them, and when that day which he appointed for them arrives, he marks the animal (ish’ar) and refrains from what the pilgrim refrains from.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال ثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي عن جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه أن عمر وعليا وبن عباس كانوا يقولون في الرجل يرسل بدنه أنه يمسك عما يمسك عنه المحرم ليس إلا يلبي قال جعفر يواعدهم يوما فإذا كان ذلك اليوم الذي يواعدهم أن يشعر أمسك عما يمسك عنه المحرم
