Hadith 8:824
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il bin 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from 'Awf, from Ziyad bin al-Husayn, he said: Abu al-'Aliyah narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me on the morning of al-'Aqabah: "Pick up pebbles for me." He said: So I picked up for him pebbles like the pebbles used for throwing (at a target). He said: "With the likes of these, then throw."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن عوف عن زياد بن الحصين قال حدثنا أبو العالية عن بن عباس قال قال لي رسول الله غداة العقبة القط لي حصيات قال فلقطت له حصيات مثل حصى الخذف فقال بمثل هؤلاء فارموا
