Hadith 8:875
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Qais narrated to us, from Bashir bin Yasar al-Ansari, who said: When they entered into Ihram, Umar perceived a pleasant scent and said: "From whom is this scent?" Al-Bara bin Azib said: "It is from me, O Commander of the Faithful." He said: "We know that your wife perfumed you, or a perfumer. The pilgrim is only the one who is unkempt and dusty."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا محمد بن قيس عن بشير بن يسار الأنصاري قال لما احرموا وجد عمر ريح طيب فقال ممن هذا الريح فقال البراء بن عازب مني يا أمير المؤمنين قال قد علمنا أن امرأتك عطرتك أو عطارة إنما الحاج الأذفر الأغبر
