Hadith 8:940
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid and Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Ubayd Allah ibn Zahr, from Abu Sa'id al-Ru'ayni, from Ubayd Allah ibn Malik, from Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani, who said: My sister vowed to walk to the House of Allah barefoot and unveiled. So she asked the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "Command your sister to veil herself, to ride, and to fast for three days."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا أبو خالد وبن فضيل عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عبيد الله بن زحر عن أبي سعيد الرعيني عن عبيد الله بن مالك عن عقبة بن عامر الجهني قال نذرت أختي أن تمشي إلى بيت الله حافية غير مختمرة فسألت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال مر أختك فلتختمر ولتركب ولتصم ثلاثة أيام
