Hadith 8:945
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ya'la bin 'Ubayd narrated to us, from al-Ajlah, from 'Amr bin Sa'id al-Bajali, who said: I was beneath the pulpit of Ibn al-Zubayr while he was upon it. A man came and said: "O Commander of the Faithful, I vowed to perform Hajj walking, but when such and such happened, I feared that the Hajj would pass me by, so I rode." He said: "There is no fault upon you. Return next year and walk the distance you rode, and ride the distance you walked."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يعلى بن عبيد عن الأجلح عن عمرو بن سعيد البجلي قال كنت تحت منبر بن الزبير وهو عليه فجاء رجل وقال يا أمير المؤمنين إني نذرت أن أحج ماشيا حتى إذا كان كذا وكذا خشيت أن يفوتني الحج فركبت قال لا خطأ عليك ارجع عام قابل فامش ما ركبت واركب ما مشيت
