Hadith 31:12

Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn ‘Amr narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Hatib narrated to me, from his father, who said: We were sitting with Ka’b al-Ahbar in the mosque while he was speaking, and ‘Umar came and sat at the side of the people. He called out to him and said: "Woe to you, O Ka’b, frighten us." He said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, the Fire will be brought near on the Day of Resurrection; it will have a roaring and a gasping. When it is brought near and approached, it will let out a roar, and there will not be a prophet, nor a truthful one (siddiq), nor a martyr created by Allah, except that he will fall upon his knees, until every prophet, every truthful one, and every martyr will say: 'O Allah, I do not ask of You today except for my own self.' And even if you had, O son of al-Khattab, the deeds of seventy prophets, you would think that you would not be saved." ‘Umar said: "By Allah, the matter is indeed severe."
