Hadith 31:21
Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Fire complained to its Lord and said: 'O Lord, parts of me are consuming other parts.' So He granted it two breaths: one breath in the summer and one breath in the winter. So the intensity of what you find of cold is from its *zamharir* (intense cold), and the intensity of what you find of heat is from its *samum* (scorching heat)."
حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اشتكت النار إلى ربها فقالت رب أكل بعضي بعضا فجعل لها نفسين نفس في الصيف ونفس في الشتاء فشدة ما تجدون من البرد من زمهريرها وشدة ما تجدون من الحر من سمومها
