Hadith 31:33
Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, from Harun ibn Abi Ibrahim, from Abu Nasr, who said: I heard Abu Sa’id al-Khudri saying: We were one day with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we saw him sorrowful. Some of them said, "O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, why do I see you like this?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I heard a thud the likes of which I have never heard. Then Gabriel came to me, and I asked him about it. He said: 'This is a boulder that was cast into the Fire seventy autumns ago, and today it has reached its bottom.'" Abu Sa’id said: By the One in whose hand is the soul of our Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, I did not see him laughing after that day until the soil covered him.
حدثنا محمد بن بشر عن هارون بن أبي إبراهيم عن أبي نصر قال سمعت أبا سعيد الخدري يقول انا يوما عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فرأيناه كئيبا فقال بعضهم يا رسول الله بأبي وأمي مالي أراك هكذا فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سمعت هدة لم أسمع مثلها فأتاني جبريل فسألته عنها فقال هذا صخر قذف به في النار منذ سبعين خريفا فاليوم استقر قراره فقال أبو سعيد والذي ذهب بنفس نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم ما رأيته ضاحكا بعد ذلك اليوم حتى واراه التراب
