Hadith 31:41
Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Qays, from Yunus ibn Khabbab, from Mujahid, who said: Indeed, in the Fire there are pits containing snakes like Bactrian camels and scorpions like black mules. The people of the Fire will flee from the Fire toward those pits, but the snakes and scorpions will meet them and seize their lips and their eyes. He said: They will not seek relief except by returning to the Fire. And the one among them with the lightest punishment is he who has two sandals on the soles of his feet, from which his brain, his eyelashes, and his molars boil. The rest of them will surge within it like a small amount of grain in a large amount of water.
