Hadith 31:46
Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Qays, that it reached him that ‘Umar said to Ka‘b, “O Ka‘b, frighten us.” He said, “Yes. Allah will gather the creatures on one level plain; the sight will penetrate them, and the caller will make them hear. Hell will be brought, and on that day it will have three exhalations. As for the first exhalation, it will not leave a tear in any eye but that it will flow, until blood pours out. As for the second, no one will remain except that he will fall upon his knees, calling out, ‘My Lord, my soul, my soul!’—even His friend, Ibrahim. As for the third, if you had, O ‘Umar, the deeds of seventy prophets, you would still be fearful, until you knew which of the two groups you would be among.”
حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن عمرو بن قيس أنه بلغه أن عمر قال لكعب يا كعب خوفنا قال نعم يجمع الله الخلائق في صعيد واحد ينفذهم البصر ويسمعهم الداعي ويجاء بجهنم فلها يومئذ ثلاث زفرات فأول زفرة لا تبقي دمعة في عين إلا سالت حتى ينسكب الدم وأما الثانية فلا يبقى أحد إلا جثا لركبتيه ( 1 ) ينادي رب نفسي نفسي حتى خليله إبراهيم وأما الثالثة فلو كان لك يا عمر عمل سبعين نبيا لأشفقت حتى تعلم من أي الفريقين تكون
