Hadith 31:60
Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Husayn, from Hassan ibn Abi al-Mukhariq, from Abu Abdullah al-Jadali, who said: I came to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), and there were Ubadah ibn al-Samit, Abdullah ibn Amr, and Ka’b al-Ahbar speaking in Bayt al-Maqdis. Ubadah said: When the Day of Resurrection comes, the people will be gathered on a single level plain. The sight will penetrate them, and the caller will make them hear. Allah will say: "This is the Day of Judgment; We have gathered you and the former peoples. So if you have a plot, then plot against Me." Today, no stubborn tyrant nor rebellious devil shall escape Me. Abdullah ibn Amr said: We find in the Book that a neck (a part) of the Fire will emerge on that day, and it will proceed swiftly until it is in the midst of the people. It will say: "O people, I have been sent for three whom I know better than a father knows his child and a brother knows his brother—nothing of them is hidden from me, and no secret of theirs is concealed from me: whoever set up another god alongside Allah, every stubborn tyrant, and every rebellious devil." He said: Then it will fold upon them and cast them into the Fire forty [units of time] before the reckoning. Husayn said: Either forty years or forty days. He said: A group will rush toward Paradise, and the angels will say to them: "Stop for the reckoning." They will say: "By Allah, we had no wealth, and we were not workers (officials)." Allah will say: "My servants have spoken the truth. I am more worthy to fulfill My covenant. Enter Paradise." He said: So they will enter Paradise forty [units of time] before the reckoning—either he said years or days.
حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن حصين عن [ حسان ] بن أبي المخارق عن أبي عبد الله الجدلي قال أتيت بيت المقدس فاذا عبادة بن الصامت وعبد الله بن عمرو وكعب الأحبار يتحدثون في بيت المقدس قال فقال عبادة إذا كان يوم القيامة جمع الناس في صعيد واحد فينفذهم البصر ويسمعهم الداعي ويقول الله @QB@ هذا يوم الفصل جمعناكم والأولين فإن كان لكم كيد فكيدون @QE@ 1 اليوم لا ينجو مني جبار عنيد ولا شيطان مريد قال فقال عبد الله بن عمرو إنا نجد في الكتاب أنه يخرج يومئذ عنق من النار فينطلق معنقا حتى إذا كان بين ظهراني الناس قال يا أيها الناس إني بعثت إلى ثلاثة أنا أعرف بهم من الوالد بولده ومن الأخ بأخيه لا يغنيهم مني ورد ولا تخفيهم مني خافية الذي جعل مع الله إلها آخر وكل جبار عنيد وكل شيطان مريد قال فينطوي عليهم فيقذفهم في النار قبل الحساب بأربعين قال حصين اما أربعين عاما أو أربعين يوما قال ويهرع قوم إلى الجنة فتقول لهم الملائكة قفوا للحساب قال فيقولون والله ما كانت لنا أموال وما كنا بعمال قال فيقول الله صدق عبادي أنا أحق من أوفى بعهده ادخلوا الجنة قال فيدخلون الجنة قبل الحساب بأربعين إما قال عاما وإما يوما
