Hadith 31:81
Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, who said: Tamim ibn Ghaylan narrated to me, from Salamah, from Abu al-Darda', who said: Where are you in relation to the day when Hell is brought, having blocked everything between the two horizons? It will be said: "You shall not enter Paradise until you wade through the Fire." If you have light with you, the Bridge (al-Sirat) will remain straight for you, and by Allah, you will have been saved and guided. But if you do not have light with you, the hooks of Hell, or its claws, or something of that nature, will cling to you, and by Allah, you will have been cast back and fallen.
حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن يعلى بن عطاء قال حدثني تميم بن غيلان عن سلمة عن أبي الدرداء قال أين أنت من يوم جيء بجهنم قد سدت ما بين الخافقين وقيل لن تدخل الجنة حتى تخوض النار فان كان معك نور استقام بك الصراط فقد والله نجوت وهديت وإن لم يكن معك نور تشبث بك خطاطيف جهنم أو كلاليبها أو شيء منها فقد والله رديت وهويت
