Hadith 29:103

Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Humayd, from Habib Abu Yahya, that Khalid ibn Zayd—and his eye had been afflicted with a disease—said: We besieged their city, and we met Humayd, while the commander of the army was Abu Musa. The *dihqan* (local leader) took his covenant and the covenant of those who were with him. Abu Musa said: "Separate them." So he separated them. Abu Musa began saying to his companions: "I truly hope that Allah deceives him regarding himself." He separated them and kept the enemy of Allah. Abu Musa ordered him, so he called out, and he offered him much wealth, but he refused. Then he struck his neck.
