Hadith 29:106
Rayhan ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Marzuq ibn 'Amr narrated to me, he said: Abu Farqad narrated to me, he said: We were with Abu Musa on the day we conquered the market of al-Ahwaz. A man from the polytheists ran, and two men from the Muslims ran behind him. He said: While he was running and they were running, one of them said to him, "Matras." The man stopped, and they seized him and brought him to Abu Musa, and Abu Musa was striking the necks of the captives until the matter reached this man. One of the two men said, "Indeed, this man has been granted safety." Abu Musa said, "And how was he granted safety?" He said, "He was running away across the land, so I said to him, 'Matras,' and he stopped." Abu Musa said, "And what is 'Matras'?" He said, "Do not fear." He said, "This is safety; let him go." So they let the man go.
حدثنا ريحان بن سعيد قال حدثني مرزوق بن عمرو قال حدثني أبو فرقد قال كنا مع أبي موسى يوم فتحنا سوق الأهواز فسعى رجل من المشركين وسعى رجلان من المسلمين خلفه قال فبينا هو يسعى ويسعيان إذ قال له أحدهما مترس فقام الرجل فأخذاه فجاءا به أبا موسى وأبو موسى يضرب أعناق الأساري حتى انتهى الأمر إلى الرجل فقال أحد الرجلين إن هذا قد جعل له الأمان قال أبو موسى وكيف يجعل له الأمان قال إنه كان يسعى ذاهبا في الأرض فقلت له مترس فقام فقال أبو موسى وما مترس قال لا تخف قال هذا أمان خليا سبيله قال فخليا سبيل الرجل
