Hadith 29:117
Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Isma'il narrated to us, from Qays, who said: I saw a man who wanted to sell himself [in battle] on the day of Yarmouk, and a woman was pleading with him. He said: "Return [this] to her, for if I knew that what she wants would befall her, I would not have begrudged it to her. Yes, by Allah, if I am able, this will not move from its place"—and he pointed with his hand toward a mountain—"so if you overcome my body, then take it." Qays said: We passed by him and saw him after that, killed in that battle.
