Hadith 29:135
Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Yazid al-Rahbi and Muhammad al-Khawlani, from 'Urwah ibn Ruwaym, who said: 'Umar wrote to Abu 'Ubaydah: "Peace be upon you. To proceed: The affair of Allah among the people is not upheld except by one who is sound of intellect and far-reaching in strength, from whom the people do not discover any fault, who does not feel shame in the truth for any free person, and who does not fear the blame of a blamer for the sake of Allah. And peace be upon you."
حدثنا إسماعيل بن عياش عن محمد بن يزيد الرحبي ومحمد الخولاني عن عروة بن رويم قال كتب عمر إلى أبي عبيدة سلام عليك أما بعد فإنه لم يقم أمر الله في الناس إلا حصيف العقل بعيد القوة لا يطلع الناس منه على عورة ولا يحس في الحق على حرة ولا يخاف في الله لومة لائم والسلام عليك
