Hadith 29:138

Sharik narrated to us, from Abu al-Juwayriyah al-Jarmi, who said: I was among those who marched to al-Sham on the day of al-Harid. We met, and the wind blew against them, and they turned their backs, so we killed them throughout our evening and our night until we reached the morning. He said: Ibrahim—meaning Ibn al-Ashtar—said: "I killed a man last night, and I found a pleasant scent from him, and I do not see him as anything other than Ibn Marjanah. His legs were toward the east and his head toward the west, or his head was toward the east and his legs toward the west." He said: So I went and looked, and by Allah, it was he—meaning Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad.
