Hadith 29:15
Hisham ibn Husayn narrated to us, he said: When Khalid ibn al-Walid arrived here, he found a group of elders of the people of Persia, over whom was a man called Hazar Mard. They mentioned his great deeds and his courage. He said: So Khalid ibn al-Walid killed him, then he called for his lunch and ate it while he was leaning on his corpse, meaning his body.
حدثنا هشام بن حصين قال لما قدم خالد بن الوليد ها هنا إذ هو بمشيخة لأهل فارس عليهم رجل يقال له هزار مرد فذكروا من عظيم عمله وشجاعته قال فقتله خالد بن الوليد ثم دعا بغدائه فتغدى وهو متكئ على جثته يعني جسده
