Hadith 29:166
Al-Fadl ibn Dukayn narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Ishaq, who said: Abdullah ibn Utbah and a man from Hamdan disputed. The Hamdani said: "Abu Bakr is older than the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Abdullah said: "No, rather the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is older than Abu Bakr. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died while he was sixty-three years old, and Abu Bakr died while he was sixty years old, and Umar was killed while he was sixty-three years old, and I am fifty-seven years old."
حدثنا الفضل بن دكين حدثنا زهير عن إسحاق قال تمارى عبد الله بن عتبة ورجل من همدان فقال الهمداني أبو بكر أكبر من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وقال عبد الله لا بل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أكبر من أبي بكر توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو بن ثلاث وستين وتوفي أبو بكر وهو بن ستين وقتل عمر وهو بن ثلاث وستين وأنا بن سبع وخمسين
