Hadith 29:31
Ibn Abi Za'idah narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, who said: Umar wrote to Sa'd on the day of al-Qadisiyyah: "I have sent to you the people of the Hijaz and the people of Yemen. So, whoever among them reaches the fighting before they (the armies) have joined together, then assign them a share (of the spoils)."
حدثنا بن أبي زائدة عن مجالد عن الشعبي قال كتب عمر إلى سعد يوم القادسية إني قد بعثت إليك أهل الحجاز وأهل اليمن فمن أدرك منهم القتال قبل أن يتفقؤا فأسهم لهم
