Hadith 29:44
Abu Usama narrated from Mis'ar, from Abu Bakr ibn 'Amr ibn 'Utbah, who said: 'Umar wrote to Sa'd and others among the commanders of Kufa: "To proceed: What is between al-'Udhayb and Hulwan has reached me, and in that is what suffices you if you are God-fearing and righteous." He said: And he wrote, "Place a desert between yourselves and the enemy."
أبو أسامة عن مسعر عن أبي بكر بن عمرو بن عتبة قال كتب عمر إلى سعد وغيره من أمراء الكوفة أما بعد فقد جاءني ما بين العذيب وحلوان وفي ذلكم ما يكفيكم إن اتقيتم وأصلحتم قال وكتب اجعلوا بينكم وبين العدو مفازة
